Solitude 🐞

Hey my lovelies💋. Today I am tackling the solitude. Solitude means aloneness; the state of been alone or as I love to call it ‘some me time’.

Most people mistake been alone for loneliness, understand that one can be alone and very happy and content with themselves (shout out to all introverts like me). Not that I am discouraging any companies and relationships, don’t get me wrong!

Everyone of us should at least schedule sometime to invest in ourselves by spending time alone. This is because solitude (me time) has a great importants and benefits to our personal lives, some of those importance include;

  • Gives us time to think.

Thinking is the hardest work there is, it is also a prerequisite for success and it precedes achievement. Some alone time, helps us think and meditate about our lives, where we are as well as where we are headed. It accelerates our lives because by thinking it gives us direction to achieve our goals and dreams.

  • Relieve us from anxiety.

Solitude give us time to slowdown, catch up, take a deep breath and set our mind. During this time we rid our minds off negativity and less anxiety allows for time of innovation and selfsearching.

  • Tap into creativity.

Me time helps the creative juices to flow and flourish. It also allows one to listen to oneself and focus on what you really want. Sometime distractions alters our thoughts. Spending time alone offers us the time to reflect and tap into our artistic self. Ideas and progress happen in times of individual creativity.

  • Recharge their energy and boost productivity.

The human mind was designed to take a break and recharge so that one’s body can replenish itself. Without any distractions, spending time alone allows one to clear your mind and think more clearly. Our bodies also takes advantage of this time to revitalise and energize itself.

  • Able to make smart decisions.

One is able to think through every action you are about to take and solitude helps you find  your own voice and your identity instead of following the pack blindly.

  • Attack problems effectively.

Solitude allows one to see problems or setbacks as temporary rather than becoming overwhelmed in them.

  • Appreciate the simple things in life.

Solitude makes you view life from a clear perspective and this makes one grateful for all the past experiences, lessons as well as good memories. It is more of a good vibes session in which you are not looking for ambiguity or sophistication neither do you desire them.

I hope this post inspires y’all to schedule time for yourselves. You sometimes have to be selfish and invest in yourself.
