Be a dream achiever

…now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do

~Genesis 11:6

From the opening scripture, it is evident that imagination is a gift from God and if you can imagine it, then you can achieve it. Basically your imagination is a preview of your life’s coming attractions. So today I am going to teach how to be dream achiever guided by God’s word.

  • Imagine your future

It is written in Proverbs 29:18 that where there is no vision, people perish. So the first step is to give yourself permission to dream. Dream what you want there is no limit to this, be it that Porsche you want to own or maybe it is that house with a beautiful garden and a perfect view of the beach you want to live in, or maybe it is getting that degree or masters or paying off that debt. The list is endless just dream what you want!!!!

  • Write down your dreams and keep the dreams before your eyes

In Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV) it is written..And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Out of sight out of mind. In other words you become what you behold, so surround yourself with what could be (that is your dreams, what you want) not what was.

The streaked, speckled and spotted sheep and goat.

In Genesis 30:37-43 (ESV), the story of Jacob is recorded for us to learn from him this principle of keeping our dreams before our eyes.

After working for and living with Laban for 14 years, Jacob was ready to leave with his family. His payment for working for Laban for 14 years was every speckled or spotted sheep, every dark-colored lamb and every spotted or speckled goat from Laban’s flocks.

In other words the speckled or spotted sheep, every dark-colored lamb and every spotted or speckled goat from Laban’s flocks was Jacob’s dream or goal. So what did Jacob do to achieve his dream?

Jacob took fresh sticks of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the sticks. He set the sticks that he had peeled in front of the flocks in the troughs, that is, the watering places, where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred when they came to drink, the flocks bred in front of the sticks and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted. The bible records that as a result of this, Jacob’s flocks increased rapidly and he became very wealthy.

Jacob knew this principle that you become what you behold so he put the peeled stick infront of the animals, so that as they bred, all the while the “dream” which is the peeled stick was before their sight, they brought forth what Jacob wanted his dream/goal, the speckled, and spotted sheep and goat.

  • Take action

This can be done by asking, most people don’t ask because of ignorance, pride, low self esteem or even the fear of rejection. The bible says in Mathew 7:7 ask and you will receive

Be careful not to share your dreams with small minded people because they will talk you out of it.

  • You have to expect it

Be unto you according to your faith..Mathew 9:28

You can build your faith by listening to the word of Christ. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of Christ.

Most people think by hearing any word from any preaching is building their faith but that’s false. Listening to the gospel which is grace (by the way grace is Jesus Christ) is what will build one’s faith. I suggest listening to messages from Pastor Joseph Prince a grace minister will build your faith.

You can also read books about grace to build your faith. I will personally suggest Destined to Reign by Joseph Prince, that is an annointed book that will change your life by the grace of Daddy God.

Well, that marks the end of the steps to be a dream achiever. I hope this inspires and motivates you to live your dreams. Remember your deeply loved, greatly blessed and highly favoured by Daddy God.
