Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you,
you have no part with Me. (John 13:8)
In this Selah moment, where globally everyone is in quarantine I just want to take this moment to encourage you, to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and from that relationship, it will empower every area of your life including your relationship with family and friends, even in your careeer.
Now, lets jump in to what is the one needful thing ❤
Beloved people be encouraged that, the Son of God did not come to be served but to serve (Mathew 20:28)
Its more blessed to receive from the Lord than to give to Him. The lesser (us) is blessed by the greater (Christ Jesus). Let Him wash our feet with the water of His Word, then we can flow with Him- worshipping Him excellently.
Mary did the ONE NEEDFUL THING (Luke 10:42)
She sat at the feet of Jesus Christ, He ministered to her and she received from Him.
Mary sought to please Him by being with Him while Martha tried to please Him through service.
Doing more for God is the method servants use to increase in favor. A lover, on the other hand, enjoys the favor they have and use it to spend time with the Lord. Mary wasn’t a non-worker; she just learned to serve from His presence.
Working from His presence is better than working for His presence. Lovers work from His presence while Servants work for His presence. And lovers get more work done than do workers! A passionate lover will always outperform a good servant in pleasing Him.
From His presence, Mary worshipped Him excellently.
In John 12:3, Mary took costly oil of spikenard (it cost a full year’s income), anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
That move was so valuable to God that He memorized her by saying; “wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” (Mathew 26:13)
Unlike the other women who came to anoint Jesus on the resurrection morning, Mary was not there.
There’s a private place reserved for the lovers of God, where they sit near him and receive the revelation-secrets of his promises (Psalm 25:14).
As a lover of God, she knew that Christ Jesus would resurrect and she was the only one who (had part with Jesus Christ). She anointed Him for His burial thus she worshipped Him excellently.
Mary did the RIGHT THING AT THE RIGHT TIME because she did the ONE THING, she sat at Jesus feet and soaked in His word. She let Him wash her feet with the water of the Word. As a lover of the Lord, she worked from His presence, worshipping Him excellently or extravagantly.
When I do the ONE THING- listen to the word of Christ, So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ (Romans 10:17)
I will end up doing the RIGHT THING at the RIGHT TIME. As a lover of the Lord, I am working from His Presence, thus worshipping Him excellently.
